Yellowing Leaves Please help!!

I have a Sugar Apple Tree that someone gave me from a Nursery it's in a 3 gallon pot at this time but I plan on moving it into the ground very soon

I've noticed that the leaves are yellow which isn't good because they are supposed to be a pale green. Now I had two of these trees in my yard growing up but I never noticed if the new leaf growth was yellow. I'm worried that it might be over watering but I was wondering what some of you people think

I have a link to a site that tells what a Sugar Apple tree is for those of you that don't know

I'm currently living with my boyfriend and his dad the yard is not something that I can just dig a hole and drop a tree. I have to get them both together and figure out where they would like the tree. Thats the only reason why I haven't planted it in the ground yet.

Convene the caucus dear, and see if we can get this in ground...

Are you watering with chlorinated water? This plant is susceptible to chlorosis from this...could explain the yellowing...
