cherry kwazan trees

I have a very large Cherry Kwazan tree, 20 years old. While all buds are apparent, only half have bloomed. Other Kwazan trees in my state have fully bloomed. I have never needed to give this tree any special attention other than trimming every few years.
Can you tell me why all the blooms have not all opened?
And how can I remedy?

An interesting question; I am not sure about an answer but have some ideas...

I found this article online; although decades old it appears tha abnormalities can cause non-blooming flower buds...

but I suspect thrips (I had blossoms not open on my rose last year and upon dissection of the flower bud I found it shredded by thrips, so not enough internal pressure to open).

As you can see they do mess with cherries and not just flowers either. You should do as I did and dissect a bud or three to see if there is clear indication of damage; examine near the base of the buds for entry holes as well...

I will move this to the Tree and Shrub section and see what the other cognescenti have to say...
