Shrub id

I don't have a picture of the shrub but it has leaves like a
boxwood but it grows straight up its about 5ft tall and about 1 to 1.5 ft wide not sure if this is enough to hlp id it ill try to get a pic of it tomm if I can.

it might be a Japanese holly called 'Skypencil'.

There is also a boxwood that grows with a similar form, though the name escapes me at the moment. It is not a very popular variety in the trade though..... for the life of me I can't remember why, because I have seen some quite striking specimens. There is also a narrow conical form called 'Dee Runk(?)' that is easier to get a hold of.

I believe that the sky pencil is it looks identical
thank you very much I was way off on the guess
of some sort of boxwood

And not so far off on the ID, danky doo; I have seen "professionals" make that same mistake... it's all in the tips of the leaves round or bifurcated= boxwood, pointed and saw edged= Japanese holly...
