shrubs not doing well...

I received some shrubs that are 4 to 5' tall and had little to no root ball, just exposed roots. they were only out of the ground a couple of hours and were kept cool with a hose while we planted. what is the best way to take care of them in hopes that they will survive?

If you already have the plants in the ground, pics would be helpful to ID the plants in order to provide care instructions.

If plants are not in the ground, get them into pots ASAP and then we can help you from there.

Hope to hear back from you soon.
