Leylandii hedge

I am wanting to plant a leylandii hedge at the bottom of our garden to screen our garden from the neighbours. We also have 2 well established oak trees, about 30 feet apart at the end of the garden, which I am wanting to plant the hedge between. Could anyone tell me if planting a leylandii hedge will harm the oak trees in any way and if so which would be a better choice of fast growing hedge.

Many thanks.

Leylands should cause no problem for the oaks. they will not grow well in the shade of the oaks and the oaks root systems may slow the growth of the Leylands even out side of the canopy.
