I've noticed there's a few other posts about umbrella trees, but I'm freaking out.
I've had my tree for about 5 years, it's been through numerous repottings and is big, about 3.5 feet tall. When I moved to my new apt. in july the plant's light was cut down, but it didn't seem to mind, even though my new place get's virtually no sunlight at all.
Then when the heat came on this winter the plant suffered some burns, so I had to move it to a room with even less light.':(' Still, the plant seemed to thrive, sending up new leafs, even though it is now on top of an entertainment unit, with it's top leafs mere inches from the ceiling.':!:'
At any rate, a few weeks ago while I was trimming the plant, I noticed that some leafs were brown. I removed them and looked for any signs of bugs, but didn't find any.
Now leafs are turning brown at a rate of about 2 a week. The plant seems healthy, except for the fact that leafs keep on mysteriously turning brown and falling.''
I don't have a camera so I can't take a picture. I am so scared for my plant! It looks almost exactly like this

I haven't changed the way I water it or anything like that, and I fertilize periodically.
any help would be wonderful
