help with fall planting living in central alberta

I need some help with fall planting, I bought a couple of dogwood bushes late summer I'm not sure if I should plant them now or wait til there leaves drop and they are dormant? Or plant them in the container and wait til spring to replant them or store them in a cool location wrapped in burlap with mulch around them ?? any suggestions ? thanks so much.

Plant them now. Use some cow manure & bone meal when filling back the hole and make certain you tamp down the loose soil with the end of your shovel. And water.
