PLEASE Help me identify this shrub!

Looks like a rhodo or a laurel? But leaves are more pointy/

They are all over Newport, Rhode Island and I want one for my yard.

It looks like a cherry but they are only hardy to Zone 6.

Its a 'prunes otto lyken ' a low growing laural gets to about 4ft , a great robust plant :D

Thank you for that! This looks like a shrub that might fit exactly into an area I've been looking to fill! I was having a hard time finding an evergreen shrub that had fragrant blooms and was suited to the light, moisture and soil of the area. :)

Thank you for that! This looks like a shrub that might fit exactly into an area I've been looking to fill! I was having a hard time finding an evergreen shrub that had fragrant blooms and was suited to the light, moisture and soil of the area. :)
