Tomato plants but few tomatoes in Texas

Hi! I live in Texas where we have experienced a VERY hot summer so far. Yesterday we broke a record with a temp of 107. I actually saw water on the patio boil away the cement was so hot.

Anyway, I have several tomato plants in containers that are all small fruit varieties (the largest tomato fruit is a Roma). I generally have no problem getting them to produce tomatos but this year I'm having little to no luck. I wouldn't think that a lack of bees would be the issue because one of the plants is sitting fairly close to a Salvia plant that has tons of bees on it. I do feel like I'm having to water more than normal due to the excessive heat. Does anyone have any ideas why I've gotten hardly any tomatoes (6 to be exact).

Thanks

Lou
