My apartment complex does not have out-door hose faucets (all patios are fairly small, cement, and fenced in. So they don't reason its necesary, I suppose). So I've been having to water all my tomato plants by hauling gallon pitcher after gallon pitcher in and out of the apartment. Its pretty time consuming, as you can imagine...
Does anybody know of any hose-like devices I can get in a hardware store that can be attached to the kitchen sink and ran outside?

What you need is a faucet to hose adapter. Danco makes one.
This site mentions the hose:
https://www.naturalchildbirth.org/natural/articles/waterbirth.html
I took note of the model number 36115B and searched around and found this place that sells it:
https://www.hardwareandtools.com/invt/9690264
But if you live in San Francisco, you can go to the hardware store on Mission Street near duboce, just past the overpass on 1695 Mission Stret, Discount Builders Supply (I think it's Ace Hardware now) or any number of hardware stores elsewhere. When I lived in The City, Discount Builders was my place to go for paint, plumbing, and apartment upgrading supplies. My favorite store, always the lowest prices.
According to the above site the adaptors are available at Home Depot so you can try driving over the bridge to Emeryville and checking out the Home Depot store over there (it's out over by Ikea, Google map it).
I'm glad you asked this question because this is something I need, too.

Here's another brand of adapter made by Koala:

The faucet to hose adapters have the advantage of being able to select the size and length of hose that best suits your needs.

You can use sprinkle to water all your tomato plants.
