WATERING!!!!!
Oh also I forgot to ask.... the tips of the younger/new growth on the tomato plants look a little burned...' dried out at the tip of the leaf....could this be from over fertilizing? I didnt think I was overdoing it but is this what normally happens when too much fertilizer is used? thank you
Too much fertilizer - usually, the edges of the leaves appear slightly burned/discolored yellow to reddish/brown and then withered, and spreads across the whole leaf, especially on the lower to middle outer perimeter of the plant. Eventually, the stems and smaller vines will also show symptoms. Looks really similar to underwatering.
A really good heavy and deep soaking will sometimes help to dilute excess fertilizer/nitrogen in the area. It will also help if the plant is suffering from being underwatered and not actually burned from fertilizer. And switch to a less concentrated type of fertilizer if you even suspect that yours could be burning your plants.
