Shriveled tops

I have 2 tomato plants - a Big Boy and a Mr. Stripy - in a large container. Initially the plants grew beautifully, but now the top leaves seem to be shriveling up. They have not yet produced fruit - only a few flowers. Does anyone know what could cause this to happen? HELP!

Are you using a salt Based fertilizer? If so, how often do you use it?

Also, how often have you been watering?


You say that you have two tomatoe plants in one large container? How large is the container? Tomatoe plants can get pretty big so, you might want to move one of them.

I'm not sure about the fertilizer - I just used bone meal and an organic fish-and-kelp fertilizer. The same pot held 3 plants comfortably last year. My grandson and I check to see if the soil is moist 1 inch down, and, if not, we water.

how hot has it been I seen mine do the same thing we had a heat wave last few days and the tops on mine roll over and dry up
I think this is normal on big boys and beefmaster tomatoe
are they supported by cage ?
