Small rotted places inside tomato?

What causes those small brown rotted places inside the tomato and yet there's nothing on the skin? My German Green, Mr. Stripey and Bradley did that way.

Are they in the pithy core of the tomato? If so, it’s likely pinworm damage— they chew their way in from under a flap of the calyx at stem end, then tunnel along the core. If you don’t find one in the tomato, then they chewed their way back out.

Hmm. No, never found a worm and never saw any holes. Just small areas of dark brown. And I've seen them near the outside wall of the fruit, not always in the middle. If I come across another spot, I'll post a pic.
