White spots on leaves

So this is this year's San marzano, I noticed some patches of white on quite a lot of the leaves but can't seem to work out what it might be.

I’ve always associated that as sign of whitefly infestation. Do you see any rings of spots on the underside? (egg clusters) or powdery white tiny flies that fly around when you disturb the foliage? — That white speck on the underside photo might be one, but I can’t tell from the photo.

it may be hard to see on the image but I've rummaged around and found a couple of these guys, but no egg clusters

Looks like white flies. The infestation may be early. There are already some nymphs along the stems.
White flies can be blasted off with water. The adults will come back but it will wash off and kill the eggs and young ones.
I hose down the leaves everyday. Whiteflies are difficult to kill because they are resistant to most pesticides. They do have predators, so I try to preserve and invite them in. The best white fly predator in my area is the steelblue ladybug. The best way for me to attract them is to plant corn.
