I found a hole (@ 3/8") bored into my tomato stem. Dug into it and found what I initially thought was larva. When looking at the mass with a magnifying lens, I discovered that there were 10 or so dead, very small (1/8") flies. My guess is they were put in there as food.
I would like to know what bored the hole and whether it causes more damage than the hole?
