Please Help Identify Tomato Problem

I am from South Dakota and started my seeds indoors this year for the first time. I planted my tomatoes in the garden about a week ago and they are all starting to turn black on the top of the leaves. I put a teaspoon of ecoscrap all purpose plant food and mixed it in with the dirt when I planted them. I planted them right after a weekend where we had two nights of low temperatures and it has also been really windy lately. Can I save these tomatoes or am I going to have to replace them?

Hmm, as soon as you said South Dakota, I wondered if it isn't still a little cold there.

I think the dark/purplish? coloring is from being too cold. If it gets down to mid-40's overnight and doesn't get much above low 50's during the day, or if it's been cloudy with insufficient direct sun to warm them up, this might happen.

What the next 10-day forecast like?

You may need to protect them with some kind of cover during the night?

I agree it is phosphorus deficiency due to cold soil. Just be patient and they will recover.
