Big Brandy Tomato

I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm a tomato failure :(

The first year I have no idea what variety I purchased (I don't even think I knew then). I planted it in a large pot with extremely poor drainage. We had crazy rain and the pot filled with water and drowned the plant just as it was starting to bud. The next year I planted an 'Early Girl' in the ground and she got bacterial speck. I got a few good tomatoes out of the plant but overall it was another failure. Due to the bacterial speck and feeling of failure, I didn't plant tomatoes last year.

This year I decided to give them another shot. I have a good sturdy support system in place from when I gave 'Early Girl' a shot. I'm worried about the bacterial speck so I'm putting the plant in a very large pot with good drainage resting in the garden bed against the support. however, when I got to the nursery I had 0 clue what plant to buy besides an indeterminate variety  I find tomatoes overwhelming. There are so many varieties and I've only just recently developed a palette for them. I talked to someone at the nursery who recommended 'Big Brandy' so that's what I went with.

Does anyone have experience with this variety? I'll mostly be using them on sandwiches and salads. Should I explore another option? I probably have the space for 2 plants. Is 'Big Brandy' any good?

It is a cross between Brandywine and New Big Dwarf. I have grown both of the parents. Brandy wine is sweet tart and lobed and it looks like Big Brandy is too. I don't know what it is going to taste like.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I was able to find online as well... besides what sellers describe fancifully on their websites ;) I never trust those though. I hope it's a decent variety.
