Bug

I noticed this growing on my tomato plant. Anyone know what it is?

Re: Bug

no idea what that is...but not likely to be a "good guy". If it were me, I'd snip the whole leaf and throw it in the trash can...

Re: Bug

Probably a pupating moth. I don't know which one. Probably not a good guy.
Happy gardening in Hawaii. Gardens are where people grow.

Re: Bug

Please put your location in your profile. It might be something native to your location and not mine. A Google search for "tomato pests" might want to know your state. I've never seen one of those here. Is it doing any damage?

Re: Bug

I think if I saw something like that, I would clip the leaf off and put it in a paper towel lined paper towel lidded (with canning jar ring or rubber band) jar and see what comes out....

Re: Bug

Good eye! It does look like it could be a moth. Thank you!

I snipped the leaf. Better safe than sorry.
