SWEET 100's

I would love to be home for the summer and I would grow real tomatoes ( Rutgers & Marglobe)..But being in s. fl. , I must TRY to grow something that tastes more like a pumpkin than a tomato
However Sweet 100's sorta fill the gap w/ my efforts... recently my plants have yielded larger size fruit, and a different taste ..
Can anyone provide me with a seed company that provides a Sweet 100 seed that they use that gives a fruit that comes close to that of my original plants 10 years ago....waiting 80 days for a test of your labor is frustrating ,so i'll try the P C thanks. :hide:

Re: SWEET 100's

Sweet 100's were one of the first tomato successes I had many years ago. I can't really help you find the old fashioned seeds, because, it may be like brandywine that has had so many iterations that it is hard to tell which one is the original.

Re: SWEET 100's

Supersweet 100 and Sweet Millions are improved versions of sweet 100. They are more productive and supposedly less prone to cracking.

Sweet 100's are still around if you know where to look.

I really like sungold for a sweet cherry tomato and it has won many taste tests. It is a hybrid and unfortunately cracks when ripe. I think it tastes tart when it is green.
