Mancozeb experience?

So, I purchased early in the season some Mancozeb. I did spray early on, but then got lazy. After 2 straight weeks of rain here, it took it's toll on my tomatoes, so quickly I didn't realize it was happening. So out I went today, clipped off all the diseased stems I could find, and then sprayed the Mancozeb on all tomato plants, visually diseased or not.

My question is, does anyone have any experience with this stuff working good AFTER a plant is already diseased?

I find that it is easier to prevent fungal disease than to control it no matter what you use.
