Re: Tomato Care Video

Nice video. you did pretty good.

Okay you asked for suggestions.

Next time put the dwarfs in the smaller pots and the cherry's in the biggest pot possible. They need a lot of room. Also go ahead an put your pots straight on the ground, believe it or not they will root through the holes on the bottom of the pot right into the soil. Which will you give you that little extra root mass for nutrients delivery.

Around here where it is humid we do NOT water in the evening. This can help the fungals out since we are creating a prime environment for them. I like to water in the morning than it has the rest of the day to dry out, not to mention that in a perfect world you can actually wash off some disease that may have tried to take hold over night. You can wash spores off before they take hold.

Re: Tomato Care Video

I should kicking myself after planting the small guys in the big pots and the big guys in the small. Lol.

I took them off the ground for worry that the holes would get plugged and not allow drainage. Next year ill put them right on the ground. They have grown some leads through the back fence and I don't want to lose the fruit :)

What kind of humidity levels start to cause those issues? I am not sure how humid we are here but that is good to know! The lady at the greenhouse I got some of them from said to water at night. Could be poor direction :)

Thank you for the input !

I always welcome the input ! I want tiger better !

Thanks for the note about humidity and when to water. I'm in Western Massachusetts and we've been at 80-90% humidity, according to Weather.com. I just checked Fort Saskatchewan and it looks like your humidity is up and down between 57% to 97%.

Re: Tomato Care Suggestions Please

I have changed the video comments to reflect the change ;)

I was very tired today building my MIL deck and I found myself pruning her tomatoes. I felt so bad because I did not ask permission. She laughed and said thanks
