Tomatoes & Berries in the same bed?

I decided to do a raised bed garden this year, I was wondering if it is ok to put berry bushes in the same bed as cherry tomatoes?

what sort of berries? I don't think there would be a compatibility issue, but things like blackberries grow like crazy and have thorns. Might make it impossible to harvest your maters. Plus, the maters need room for air to circulate...
