mulch ?

what would bee the best mulch for my tomatoe garden to replace nutriances in the soil I plan on turning the soil and adding compost and peat moss is there more I can do on a small budget thnks gardening in canada

More compost applied as a top dressing. OR grass clippings. OR pulled weeds. I often use fall leaves, because that's what I have on hand, but really they do better with greener mulches. Mix a little bit of used coffee grounds into the grass clippings.

All of my summer grass clippings, Fall leaf pickups, makes a fun job tilling it in at the end of the season but worth it when the growing season starts. A bit of manure helps also...
