Pruning tomato plants for second crop

Pretty cool I was wondering about this. Would this work with peppers too?

I've got a 2nd flush of poblanos without any pruning. They self dropped many leaves about a month ago after harvesting, and have new sprouts from lower stem all the way to the top. Many blossoms and about 6 or so set to about quarter size to 3" already per plant.
This is our dog day's summer now, so mulched after some seaweed/fish ferts.

I pulled all my toms in late july from mildew and other issues, and left with 2 potted sophies choice thats blushing point now.

I forgot to mention, I have 1 japanese bell pepper plant. It is also is blooming and I am hoping for more peppers too:D

So give it a try, I would think you could get another harvest since your in TX. Bells have a shorter maturing time than poblanos.
