Ahhh, a sign of spring. The little tomato seeds in my first flat are beginning to sprout. It is so encouraging to see them raise their little heads and look for sunlight, or in this case, for "grow lights". I have five Sweet 100s, 10 Neptune, 10 Celebrity and 10 Brandywine.
I will try to get a picture tonight.
In the same greenhouse I have been trying to sprout some Sawtooth Oaks and Persimmons. They were looking great, but some little chipmunks thought the same thing. So, this past weekend I dug a trench all around the greenhouse and put down some wire and gravel. We will see if that works.
Here they grow

I have a few tomatoes that I have had in the greenhouse since late fall. They have grown well, look good, and have put on some blooms, but no tomatoes yet. I guess is it just not quite warm enough. I am hoping these healthy blooms will put on some tomatoes soon.

The weather was so great today that I put the tomato plants out to soak up some ??springtime?? sun.

This guy did not get the memo that temps will dip to 21 tonight and winds 20-25 mph during the day. Look closely at the center of the picture and that is my first tomato of the season.

The new seedlings are tucked safely under the grow lights and will have a propane heater to help them out tonight
