I'll start off this post with some background info and how I came across this tomato seed. If you do not wish to read this little story, feel free to scroll down to the picture if you'd like. I do need help identifying this little guy!
I came across this seedling after a trip to West Virginia with my girlfriend and her family. My girlfriend's mother's brother has a successful farm and garden in WV, and they always have fresh fruit and vegetables on hand. They had fresh tomatoes for the sandwiches we were making, and these tomatoes were the most delicious us Floridians had ever had!
My girlfriend's mother liked them so much that she took some of the seeds and brought them back with us so she could try and grow some of her own. With my recent interest in gardening I decided I would try to grow one as well, so I received this particular tomato seed from her.
Now my question is if you can possibly identify what kind of tomato this is? Is it too early to tell? Any input is appreciated! Thank you
Sorry for the poor picture quality! They are from my iPhone

Thanks for the input guys, I may just have to get his number and give him a call If I find out I'll definitely let you know, and I'll update with some more pictures once it grows some more.applestar wrote:Yep. All I can tell is that it's a potato-leaf strain as opposed to regular-leaf. There seems to be a bit extra purplish cast to the petiole/leaf stem, but that could be just the picture.
Let us know what it was if you find out.
As for the purple, that is definitely because of the picture. Looking at it in person I don't see any at all, just green
