When to water

Hello!
I was wondering if it is best to water in the early morning or in the evening. I don't know if it makes a difference or not.
Sorry if I missed it in another thread.

Thanks!!

It's been discussed around here a bunch of times. Here's just one:

It is controversial and it seems to depend on the kind of climate you are in. I think those of us in humid climates should not water in the late afternoon or evening and should avoid watering the leaves. The water doesn't evaporate off and sits around all night promoting fungal diseases.

In very dry climates the opposite is probably true. Watering in the evening and watering the leaves helps keep the plants from drying out too much.

It may make some difference what you are growing also.
