Kentucy Beefsteak (Heirloom)

Hello,

Are there any fellow gardeners out there that enjoy growing this variety of tomatoe. I had excellant luck last year with this heirloom tomatoe. It seems that my local greenhouse is having a difficult time (limited supply) of furnishing them. Interested in growing this variety from seed for the 2011 season. Reputable supplier recommendations, Growing information from seed would be appreciated

Thanks, prariehey :D

Since it is an heirloom tomato save your seeds from this year and plant them next year.

Exactly what Mac said, if you are growing it this year - save the seeds for 2011 season.

Never grown one, before, but someone here on the forum posted few pictures last year, attractive light orange beefsteak. A lady from the local market gave me one plants to try, described it as "Mild, pleasant on the sweet side, large fruits that do very well in VA"

So the usual goes "Sure, I can find room for one more plant". Look forward to it!

Regards,
D
