wilting tops on tomatoes

I have tomato plants that look good except that the tops are wilting and curling under. I have noticed no bugs on leaves and have round holes in the soil around the plants. Is there a insect that digs in the soil and attacts the roots. I am new to gardening and the tomatoes are the only thing suffering.

I'm also new to gardening, as for the insect that attacks the roots I'm not quite sure. Someone with more gardening wisdom may have an answer to that. But, it could be that you're not watering enough and the water isn't making it all the way to the top of the plant? I hope the problem gets solved! :D
