Years ago when starting my large garden, I planted loosestrife to fill in between my daylilies and other oriental lilies. not knowing that my lilies would so happily grow and expand, I now have the problem of the loosestrife growing prolifically into all my beautiful lilies. What a mistake. anyone have any suggestions , besides pulling it out, about how to contain this monster ? :(

The purple loosestrife is an extremely invasive noxious weed.

The Gooseneck loosestrife is despite the name, not real closely related, not in the same genus.

However, it is an aggressive non-native plant, even though pretty. If it were me, I would pull it before it spreads too far and gets out of control.
