Tomato plants fruiting, but not growing

I have tomato plants that, after 5 weeks in the ground, are blooming and fruiting a little but are only about 6 in tall. I am concerned that they haven't grown much since being planted and here in Texas hot temps will be starting very soon, slowing growth and blooms. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

That sounds like most likely a soil fertility issue. Are they a nice dark green or are they a little bit pale and yellow-y green? What are you doing for fertility-- fertilizer? compost? manure?

Are they in full sun (at least 6 hrs a day)? How much water are they getting? What are your temperatures like? What is your soil like?

Could also be soil compaction and/or dry soil. I just got back from tending my stunted onions....planted in mud and didn't mulch, now the soil is dry and compact, and its still Spring.
