Transplanting tomato with flowers

Hello,

I'm growing patio variety tomatoes in a pot and my plants seem to have outgrown the container :? . I'm planning on transplanting them to a bigger pot, but the problem is that the plant has flowers. I've heard that once tomatoes have settled their roots and once the plant starts to flower they don't like to be disturbed. I was thinking of pinching off the flowers, transplanting, and letting them recover.

Is this a good way to go about it?
What are the chances of my plants surviving and producing fruit later?

Thanks! :D

Well from my experience, I just move the things and let them do what they do. And I always have tonnes of tomatoes on my plants but, any other information from others would be great.

I start about 50 in three varieties from seed. Of that probably 80% are flowering before they get planted. I do plant with fertilizer and compost, but have never had problems other than tooooo many tomatoes.

Thanks for the advice! This is my first time growing tomatoes and I want to be extra careful before I do anything with them. I will post followups of fruits if possible! :D :)

Excellant! Have you tried growing some heirloom varieties like Currant Tomatoes, black tomatoes, zebra tomatoes, brandywine, pineapple and so on?

Lovely and the flavour is so nice.
