That's what I thought you are golden. Heck you could almost pick that now and let it ripen inside, but I would let it go a bit.

Yeah, we might just get some rain tonight, and not just a passing shower. I'm thinking of picking it so it doesn't crack, though I wanted to see how red it would get if left on the vine until the 30th.... 8)

You have no idea how careful I've been to make sure that all the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks have sources of water. :wink:

Man, mine are just starting to turn. Although, the cherries may ripen sooner than the stupice. They were both planted May 1.

Hmmm...perhaps I'll go out on the 30th with my red paint--er--uh--I mean camera and I might just get lucky and find a red tom :wink: :lol:

Oh well, 4 of July toms doesn't sound too bad either.

Picked my first two plum tomatoes this weekend. I promptly sliced them and stuck them between a bun and a leftover burger that I had grilled the night before. I've also had some cherry tomatoes ripening here and there.

Moskvich is a Russian Heirloom. 60 days, according to descriptions.
I started the seeds on 2/18, along with Moskvich, Jr. (saved seeds from last year) and Yellow Bell. Transplanted them (I think, on or around 4/11).

Moskvich was our best tasting slicing tomato last year. It has some stiff competition this year though... 8)

It's beautiful! And the one on the left is getting a blush now - season is just about to be officially open for Apple!!!

Yup June racer tomatoes are over... anyone who doesn't have ripe tomatoes yet, didn't make it!

By last tomato of the year, do you include picked green and ripened indoors? I have sometimes had the last of those for Thanksgiving. But I know hendi_alex and some of the more southern folks have homegrown tomatoes in December.

Congratulations, Applestar, that tomato ripened up fast at the end and you did get a beautiful June tomato!

I'm on for last tomato of the year. However, I think that the frost and climate will play a big part in who gets it.

Next season, we should set a seed-date and see who gets the first ripe tomato, this would give things a more even start.

Congratulations to all who got June tomatoes.
