help in growing on my porch

I live in Kansas and do not have the space for a garden, but I love the taste of Roma tomatoes, can I grow a plant in a pot on my porch? If so, what size pot or what special needs will I need to know to produce as much as possible?

I like 5 gallon pots with a mix of potting soil and mushroom manure. Place a cedar stake in the pot and use old nylons to tie the tomatoes to the stake.
Fertilize once a week with diluted liquid fish fertilizer or diluted liquid seaweed fertilizer (I alternate each week with both). Works great.
