Tomato cage question

I have those 3ft tall cages and my plants are 2x the size of them. Do I need to get bigger ones or will they do fine with them?

once they're overflowing short cages it's hard to change the cage. When I have to use short cahes, I plant in clusters so I can feed one plant over the next. Really best to start out with tall cages but not always possible.

If you're worried about your plants breaking, you can make your own, larger cakes around them. Get some good 7-8 foot stakes and drive them into the ground in a square around your tomato plants, then use twine to wrap around them to form a tiered cage. You can do that without removing the old cage, and it will give you some additional support.
