Dropping fruit too soon?

I have a cherry tomato plant in a large container. When I bought it, it was no more than a a foot or two high, I planted very deep per the instructions. By this point, (less than 30 days later) the visible portion of the plant is over 3 feet high. I have pruned all non flowering branches from the bottom and I have counted nearly 30 tomatoes. The plant itself looks great, as does the fruit. Two or three have ripened and fallen, and they tasted delicious. The only thing I'm not sure about is why, over the last couple of weeks, unripened or immature fruit is dropping off, without (it seems) the slightest provocation. The plant itself still looks great, but I have found 1-2 small tomatoes a day in the pot. It this normal for tomatoes? Or is it because it's a first crop? Am I doing something wrong? I have been keeping the soil moist, but it has been 95 degrees in the am and 80 in the PM for the last two weeks straight. Is it the heat, maybe?

This is my first time growing tomatoes. So I'm clueless.
