rotten mater

I have discovered several maters that appear to be rotten on the bottom. I do not know what this disease is called. The maters are still hanging on the vines. Please help.

It's called " blossom end rot " and it's normally due to a calcium defiency.

Adding a little lime might help. I use a product called CalMag plus.

It does sound like blossom end rot. There's been a lot posted in here already about that. Type it in to the search box at upper left of most pages and you will get a listing of helpful information about what causes it and how to avoid it.
