I have this problem on my tomato plants, I grew them from seeds inside, This is on plants on the ground and also 2 topsy turvey plants upside down hanging plants never touched the ground

Agree with jal_ut, though I would probably call it sunscald. But the issue would be for things grown indoors, when they get moved to outside, if they don't get a very gradual hardening off, at first they get a little burned by the sun. As noted, if this is it, they should adapt and new growth should be fine.
