To Prune or Not To Prune...?

Hello everyone, long time no speak!

Well, I hope everyone's plants are doing well; my own are coming along fine, at least so far.

I have a question: In reference to the picture below, should I be pruning those bottom branches?

Take care all...I need to stop in here a little more often.

I would pinch off the suckers, but not the leaves. In a container you don't have much root area to support the plant so you want fewer bigger plant parts

It's been said in this forum several times that you should take off the bottom leaves so that there are no leaves touching the ground, because diseases can get transferred that way. In your case, in a container and well mulched so they aren't touching soil, it's probably not relevant, but I might any way.

Thanks...

So you're saying...pinch off sucker branch on the left, but leave the branch on the right alone??

I'm on slow dial-up so can't see the picture, but I'm saying I would remove all suckers from the crotches of leaves, but its OK if the top of the plant splits into separate trunks.
