Whats the best way to store them for the winter for chillie goulash etc. ? Ive done a little of both. Freezing is alot easier. Jarring doesnt take up freezer space and makes it easy to share. Anything else to consider?

Drying tomatoes?
Freezing is dependent on (1) space and (2) uninterrupted electricity. Hurricanes, winter storms, and other "adventures" can take power down for periods of time ranging from momentarily to weeks.
There are several threads in the forum about drying tomatoes.
