Intrested In Trade

Hello fellow gardeners, does anyone have any seeds of the following trees-
tree of heaven, american chestnut, empress tree, cottonwood, or any other fast growing, hard to kill, long lived, and can thrive just about everywhere trees.

Sorry I don't have seeds, however if you want cottonwood trees and know where some are growing that you can take a few branches from, you can very easily propagate them by cuttings. Just get some small dormant branches about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter and cut them to pieces ten inches long. Go plant them now and leave just one bud above ground. They will root and grow. This works good in the fall too.

You can also put a little longer cuttings in a bucket of water and they will root. Then you have to dig a bigger hole to plant them. Cottonwood seeds are very small and starting from cuttings is a much better option.

Willows and poplars will also root from cuttings very easily.
