Hellow - Writing to you from Western Michigan. I am looking for suggestions to help with my landscaping around my house..Zone 6b

First which side of the house in North facing? What kind of soil do you have (clay, sand, loam etc) How much sun in hours does the sunniest side of the house get? Are you looking for color, low maintenance, low water consumption, etc? Are there any colors you don't like? How much landscaping do really want to put in and are we talking using trellises, enlarging the bed, framing the house etc. Which side of the house faces the road if that is applicable?

Agreed. And where is your front door? Usually people are most concerned about landscaping the front of their house for curb appeal.
