Royal Diamond Plastic Lawn Edging cracking??

I was reading what one guy had to say about his Royal Diamond Plastic Lawn Edging. I was thinking of using this edging.

He said he had to take it out after about 5 years because it was cracked up. He thinks because he would run over it with the riding mower. He said it seemed to become brittle when it was cool outside. He said his other more expensive edging was still fine.

Is this a problem with Royal Diamond Plastic Lawn Edging? Is it a common problem with edging?

My plastic edging became brittle from the sun and eventually died. Didn't even make 5 years. I am sure we have a different product although plastic is plastic.

Thanks evtubbergh,

I see some edging that says it is UV protected. And some saying it is warrantied for 15 or 20 years.

Seemed strange that this supposedly top notch Royal Diamond edging would crack in cool weather. But, that one was the only such complaint I saw.
