I have been at it quite a bit, I still have a ton to do. I moved plants, thinned trees added some new pieces to the yard art, and got a truck load of bark chips that I have been spreading.

These photos are around the East side lawn at the house.

These have been there but I love them.

These photos are at the far East lawn and woods. I have been thinning here, digging out stumps, planting plants and doing some landscaping.

These rhododendrons where there is dirt are new to there, I need to mulch that spot, and plant grass in the mud areas near them.
This whole area was blackberries and thickets, you could not even walk through them when we moved in.

This is near the spot above, I am still thinking on what to do here.

My path came out nice now that it is growing in.

Image

I am only landscaping a small part of the property, most of it is woods and on much of it I am just thinning and making roads and trails.

This area is West of the house and I dug a big stump out of where you see the lawn is missing and need to plant grass, this is the NW meadow.

A view of the grass area where I dug the stump out.

From where the last photo was taken if you turn 180 degrees around, it is looking to one of the edges of our land, it is near the top of the hill across the way, it is a good hike to that part and you need to cross a creek, so I have not been on all of that part yet.

A closer look.

One more area I am working on, this stump is big and my backhoe will not lift it so I will get my neighbor to bring his dozer to get it out. I want to plant lawn here, I put in some rocks and plants at the edge.

Some of the West lawn.

I made a number of roads and trails.

All of the meadows were blackberry patches or thickets when we moved in.

Everything is so green, don't you wish it would stay like that. Perfect!

Opinions please, although the wife does get the last word in. (:
In this area I am not sure what to do, I may plant grass but I am thinking of making it a extension of the area north of it. That area has trees, ferns, and rhododendrons in it. I want this to be park like and not so hard to keep up.
What do you think?

I vote for an extension of the trees, rhododendrons and ferns :)

It looks like you have been very busy with all that land. How beautiful!

You have done a lot of work and it looks great! Sorry, I have no advice on landscaping except get rid of the land maggot (aka. deer). They have killed anything I have tried to plant. I now have a dog and fence.
