Help! Poor planning landlord

Woke up one morning to a "odd jobs" man landscaping the shrubs on the property I rent. My landlord made the decision to trim down and take out crucial foliage. Now rain and runoff from the house dump onto fresh soil.

I live on south eastern coast of the U.S. and it rains a lot! My front porch (which is ground level poured concrete) and siding is always dirty. It's horrible.

Should I plant lowlying ? Or pour gravel? Stones? Pavers? My landlord usually reimburses me for whatever improvements I make to the house.
