What Perennial do I Choose for Driveway Garden Border?

I have a border going along my driveway. Its made out of wood thats old and faded but we don't want to rebuild it right now. Is there any kind of perennial plant that I can plant in the bed and the plant will sort of drape down over the front so the wood is hidden? It's about 2 feet tall. It is in mostly sun.

How about: rosemary officinalus (sp?) "Irene"; creeping thyme; irish moss; any number of creeping sedums. Alyssum will lop over in a short while, or a prostrate juniper? The first set will need the occasional haircut to keep in bounds and prevent legginess. Sedum can be especially slippery on hard surfaces. Anyone else have a list?

Happy Gardening.
