Quick advise on front planting bed

Hi all, I have a 4 ft deep planting bed that runs along the front of my house (about 12ft then arcs out into a circle. In the 12ft straight portion I have a small English (I think) Boxwood, 3 Azalea bushes then another Boxwood. The area gets morning sun and none of the bushes are taller then 3 ft (the middle Azalea is about two feet tall by 2 feet wide.
My problem is that the Azalea bushes on either side are pretty much shot and I'm thinking of taking them out but leaving the center one as it seems to be doing well. Any suggestions if I remove those two, what I can put in their place that will be really attractive, not take over and do well with only partial sun? I live in Zone 6. Thanks for the help!

You could take the two out but wait until the fall and put them off in a area that doesn't have much viewership and prune them back and in a couple of years you might move them back. And use bonemeal.

Alternatively, lowbush blueberry is a small spreading shrub, usually only a foot or two tall. It is shade tolerant, pretty and flowering and produces blueberries, what more could you want? It does need acid soil though.
