Suggestions or Ideas for a Garden Path?

Just spread 10 yards of mulch - first time ever!!!! Am IN LOVE with my garden and having the best time. My 3 y.o. daughter saw some people planting flowers and she said, "They plant flowers like you" :D

I live on a wooded suburban lot. The home already has a lovely slate path in the back yard. As I have been doing yard work, I can see the need for a few more walk ways to get to the beds. My home is cedar and contemporary so I think a brick walk way might be too formal. Due to my clutzy nature, river stones might be out, too.

So in brief, I need a walkway for getting to bed, getting around my house, and adding some charm and sense of place, for a wooded modern-ish garden.

Any ideas, websites, or pic would be great. Thanks

You could use paving stones and grow ground cover between them.

I'd use some Lime stone flags stones. I don't know what they cost where you're at, but here in the pittsburgh area they run around $360 a ton.... with that being said. you could always pick them up from the side of a highway or local creek.

I use pine straw for a couple of my paths.
