Will removing turf causing drainage issues?

We live in a semi detached house and have a 15m wide garden that tapers down to 1m wide at the end. It is approx 25m long.

Today is is totally covered in grass.

We are planning on using a turf remover machine this month to remove the turf from the whole garden, and then set about landscaping one section of the garden each month between now and next May.

Will removing the turf cause any drainage/flooding issues in the garden during the time it is just mud?

Thanks in advance for you help

It depends on the slope and how much rain you'll get. If you can spread the planting out over the bed then intersperse plantings later.

You could put down hay or plastic, If you get a lot of rain it will turn to mud. I would wait untill early spring.
