Pointsettias Yearround

I've been googling all day, and can't find any one site that says the same as another. I live in Pinellas County Florida, and I've got Pointsettia's left over from Christmas, there is nothing that says they are only Christmas plants, so I'd like to plant them and keep them growing in my yard. I've got the perfect space for them, and already put them there to see if it'd look good.

I'm just trying to figure out if they'll last in Florida summers. Some sites say I can plant them, some say they're colder weather plants. Any help would be awesome. And if I wind up planting them, I'll post pics.

Pointsettias should do well in Florida. They're native to Mexico and Central America. Here's a good article about pointsettias that discusses what they are, where they come from, and how to make them bloom year after year.

Great! I'm gonna plant them tomorrow. And thanks for the link.
